“RS Masonry have done two jobs for me, one at my office premises (repairing a stone wall that was seriously damaged by a car crash) and one at my home (building a 40metre long by 1.3 metre high to the front of my house, to match existing and very old neighbouring wall).

In both cases, they went out of their way to source old stone that blended in with the existing, then built the walls to look like they had always been there. Several years later, both walls look, if anything, even better than when they were built and have attracted many favourable comments from visitors and passersby.

“The wall between our drive and that of our neighbours is about 150 years old, but had suffered badly from subsidence due to renovations to their driveway. We wanted the wall to be sound, but to be sympathetically repaired. We accepted RS Masonry for the job as they seemed knowledgeable about the trickiness of old stone. They were clearly committed to restoring not just the strength of the wall, but its mature look .

They replaced and realigned the stones and pointed it perfectly in tone with its original design. It looks mature and solid again, as if it had never been damaged, perfectly in keeping with our old Victorian house, and ready to withstand another 150 years im sure!”
